fall tv rundown, part 2

I promised a second installment of my review of the new season so it’s high time I deliver.  I’m surprisingly disappointed with this season’s offerings.  The new stuff, for the most part, just isn’t that good.

I do recommend watching a few episodes of Private Practice.  It isn’t sensational and it isn’t nearly as good as Grey’s Anatomy was in its heyday, but it’s better than Grey’s is at the moment.  So if you must get your Shonda Rhimes fix, I’d suggest watching Kate Walsh and Taye Diggs Wednesday nights.

Gossip Girl continues to impress.  It’s one of my favs this season, along with Kitchen Nightmares, which continues to be my top priority on Wednesday nights.

I haven’t been able to watch too many episodes of Bionic Woman, Big Shots, and other such things.

Cane is pretty good in my estimation although I’m a little concerned about how long it’s going to last (I think CBS has ordered new scripts so there’s some hope).  Pushing Daisies is also pretty damn good but the high fantasy elements aren’t going to be for everyone.

If you’re not watching Friday Night Lights, you need to be.  It’s simply amazing!

I’m sure I’ve left some things off.  Maybe there will be a part 3.
